Jolie Laide Trousseau Gris Fanucchi Wood Road Sonoma County 2023

Planted in the late 1970s these rare and gnarly looking, massive trunked, and nearly extinct vines produce unique and intriguing fruit each year. Every vintage offers up a similar foundation and structure but with ever-changing liveliness and breath. Once harvested, the whole clusters were crushed by foot and naturally fermented. The 2023 Trousseau Gris is a fresh and elegant wine showing off summer melon, lemon peel, nasturtium, nectarine, and tea. This Trousseau Gris pairs beautifully with a range of dishes, from fresh seafood like ceviche to a light summer salad with citrus vinaigrette. Its bright character makes it an excellent choice for warm afternoons or al fresco dining, bringing a taste of Sonoma sunshine to your glass.
